Inspections run step by step, with photos taken on the same device. Answers save as you go, and a section cannot be left until its mandatory fields are complete.
Rules decide pass or fail
Set the tolerance once. The form calculates the reading, checks it against the limit and sets a Red, Amber or Green status. The report takes the worst status present.
Revisions and PDFs
Every report becomes a branded PDF with photos and the part's serial number on every page. Corrections are revisions with a recorded reason, and earlier versions can still be produced.
A record and a QR code for every part
Traced gives each product one record and a place to keep its passport, and each serialised part or batch a QR code that opens it.
One record per part
Each product holds its image, documents, certificates and manuals in one place, so the paperwork travels with the part rather than living in a filing cabinet.
QR identity and public scan page
Every serialised part or batch gets a trace ID and a QR code. Scanning it opens a mobile page with the product, its passport and its documents, and each scan is logged. QR today, NFC-ready.
Batches and passports
Record each manufacturing batch with its operator, dates, pass or fail result and QC data such as CMM readings. Passports are versioned, and earlier versions are kept.
How the record flows
Traced holds the part's identity and batch result. Verified holds the inspection and the signed-off report.
Live on a UK shop floor since December 2025
Adwest Steering records its strip-down inspections on iPads with Verified. The form has changed as the shop's needs became clear, and reports in progress finish on the version they started.

The passport is coming for metal components
The EU's Ecodesign regulation is bringing in Digital Product Passports one product group at a time, and iron, steel and aluminium are among the first. It applies to covered products sold into the EU, wherever they are made. Traced already keeps a versioned passport against each product, so the record a passport draws on is in one place before the rules for your products are final.
